DALLAS, Texas (July 15, 2026) — FBFK Law represented Local Favorite Restaurants in its acquisition of Cotton Patch Café, the iconic Texas comfort food chain with 46 locations across Texas and New Mexico, from Altamont Capital Partners.
The transaction expands Local Favorite’s growing portfolio of restaurant brands and strengthens its position as one of Texas’ leading restaurant operators. Cotton Patch Café joins a family of well-known concepts that includes El Fenix Mexican Restaurant, Snuffer’s Restaurant & Bar, Meso Maya, Taqueria La Ventana, Village Burger Bar, Twisted Root Burger Company, and Wok Star Chinese.
Founded in 1989, Cotton Patch Café has earned a loyal following for its scratch-made Texas comfort food, signature chicken-fried steak, fresh-baked rolls, and genuine hospitality. Under Local Favorite’s ownership, the brand is positioned to leverage the company’s operational expertise, industry relationships, and scale to support its continued growth.
