FBFK Adds Lauded Litigator Daniel Bitting as Shareholder

DALLAS & AUSTIN (Oct. 3, 2023) – Leadership of Dallas-based FBFK law firm today announced tenured litigator Daniel Bitting has joined the firm as Commercial Litigation Shareholder bringing more than three decades of successful, complex trial and appellate experience in both state and federal courts, including serving as lead counsel in jury trials and appellate arguments. He will practice in the firm’s Austin office.

Bitting, who was previously a more than 30-year partner with Austin-based Scott Douglass & McConnico, largely focuses on complex business litigation, including fiduciary duty litigation, securities violations, professional malpractice claims, intellectual property disputes, shareholder claims, property disputes, and oil, gas and energy litigation.

He was honored as a 2023 Best Lawyer by The Best Lawyers in America® in Commercial Litigation, Litigation-Trusts and Estates; is a director for the Texas Aggie Bar Association, and a member of the State Bar of Texas Litigation Section, Austin Bar Association and Senior Aggie Leadership Council.

Notably, Bitting was a lead litigator representing Stacy Eastland in the more than four-year Camp Mystic, Inc. v. Eastland litigation, including a jury trial, new trial and numerous appeals. This case was detailed in a Texas Monthly article “The Not So Happy Campers”.
