A recent article published by the San Antonio Express-News highlighted the dismissal of Stacy Eastland from litigation related to the 2025 Camp Mystic flooding tragedy after attorneys established that he had no ownership interest or operational involvement with the camp for more than a decade before the events at issue.
The article also noted that FBFK Law attorney Dan Bitting argued the claims against Eastland were groundless and confirmed that Eastland had fully severed ties with Camp Mystic in 2012. Plaintiffs ultimately dismissed Eastland from the lawsuit and agreed to remove allegations concerning him from their petition.
