FBFK Law Expands Its Estate Planning and Tax Platform

Orange County Estate Planning

Orange County, Calif. (January 5, 2026) – FBFK Law has expanded its high-end estate planning, tax, wealth protection, and family office platform with the addition of Blaine J. Burch, who has merged his Orange County–based practice into FBFK Law’s Orange County office.

This combination reflects FBFK’s continued investment in sophisticated estate planning, tax strategy, and business succession services for entrepreneurs, professionals, and high-net-worth families, as demand grows for integrated legal counsel that addresses both business and legacy planning.

Blaine J. Burch brings more than a decade of specialized experience in estate planning, tax strategy, and business succession to FBFK Law. After serving as the founder and managing partner of BHR Law Group in Orange County, Mr. Burch is now joining FBFK, where he continues his commitment to providing thoughtful, strategic counsel to families, business owners, professionals, and philanthropists navigating complex income and estate tax matters.

Mr. Burch’s practice is shaped by both legal and entrepreneurial experience. He advises closely held businesses and families on structuring, protecting, and transitioning assets with an emphasis on long-term stewardship and tax efficiency. His approach reflects years of personal business ownership and operational leadership.

Mr. Burch earned his Bachelor of Science in Business Management, with an emphasis in Marketing, from the Marriott School of Business at Brigham Young University. Early in his career, Mr. Burch served as marketing director for a nationwide agri-business, leading product development and national campaigns for major consumer brands. He later earned his Juris Doctor from George Mason University School of Law, now the Antonin Scalia Law School, and practiced at Mundell, Odlum & Haws, LLP, a boutique corporate litigation firm. During that time, he also founded and operated a records management company serving municipalities and local businesses.

In 2010, Mr. Burch launched his own estate and business planning practice and later expanded his tax and asset protection experience at Matsen, Voorhees, Mintz, LLP, and Brown & Streza, LLP.

“Estate planning today requires far more than drafting documents,” said Todd Friedland, FBFK Law’s California Managing Partner. “Clients want strategic counsel that integrates tax planning, business succession, and long-term stewardship. Blaine’s outstanding reputation and skill in these areas strengthen our Orange County platform and reflect how we are intentionally growing these important practice areas for our clients.”
