FBFK Law Bolsters Entrepreneurial Presence in OC, Solidifying Firm’s Role at the Epicenter of Business Networking

With only a couple of weeks from the Association for Corporate Growth’s 5th Annual Charity Golf Classic, a signature Orange County event which FBFK Law will be Presenting Sponsor for this year, CEO Kyle Ferguson reflects on the firm’s strategic move into Orange County earlier this year.
“As someone deeply invested in Orange County, I see a genuine entrepreneurial spirit and community passion here that perfectly aligns with our values and the principles we champion at FBFK Law,” says Ferguson. “In my view, good people and good business are inseparable.”
“He explains that this vision drove the Dallas-based law firm to expand into the rapidly growing market in January 2024. It also led FBFK to merge with prominent Orange County attorneys John Stephens, who is also the Mayor of Costa Mesa, and Todd Friedland. “Our philosophies on business and community involvement were perfectly aligned. Both Todd and John are deeply integrated into the Orange County community and recognized the potential for growth and impact.”
Since January, FBFK has strengthened the OC team to include another five, top-shelf attorneys – four of whom are shareholders – and all of whom are equally invested in both growth of the firm and impact on the community.
According to George Hampton IV, a lauded trial attorney and new OC shareholder, “FBFK and Orange County are special – I’m so thrilled to be part of both.” Hampton, who serves as Judge Advocate for the Special Forces Home for Christmas Fund which helps Marines travel home to spend the holidays with their families, is also Rear Commodore of the Bahia Corinthian Yacht Club in Newport Beach.
Ferguson says the demand for middle market, full-service law firms in Orange County is so great that he anticipates growing the firm by another 50 percent by the end of the year. “We’re looking for good humans who are also strong attorneys. We see so much potential here to grow in the right way, while driving positive change in the community.”
From deep involvement in relevant business and legal organizations – from the OC Trial Lawyers Association to ProVisors to the Orange County Bar Association – to meaningful charitable involvement including Project Youth OCBF, Volunteers for Justice, Love Costa Mesa Day, and the Public Law Center – Ferguson believes the team is doing all of the right things to build and grow. “The sky is the limit for FBFK in Orange County, and we’re thrilled to be here.”
