False Advertising and Antitrust Lawsuit
FORT WORTH, Texas (July 20, 2026) — FBFK Law has filed an amended complaint in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Texas on behalf of National Auto Tools, Inc., alleging that several leading companies in the automotive lift industry, together with the industry’s primary trade association, engaged in false advertising and anticompetitive conduct that harmed competition in the marketplace.
The lawsuit asserts claims under the Lanham Act and federal antitrust laws, alleging that defendants falsely represented their products as complying with industry safety standards while using those certifications to gain competitive advantages and exclude competitors.
According to the complaint, the case challenges alleged misuse of industry certification programs to create a pay-to-play scheme through which the defendants falsely certified and advertised their products as complying with alleged heightened safety standards.
The amended complaint seeks injunctive relief, damages, disgorgement of profits, treble damages where permitted under federal law, attorneys’ fees, and other relief.
