With an increasing number of businesses scaling internationally, business leaders should be ready for the complex dispute resolution that comes with global contracting partners. According to FBFK Commercial Litigation Attorney Ekaterina Long in an article for the Institute for Transnational Arbitration’s ITA in Review publication, there are several important legal considerations to recognize before any company enters a contract and to be aware of when anticipating a dispute with their contracting partner – from determining whether they want to resolve potential disputes through an arbitral or court process to whether they should join their contracting party’s affiliate in the arbitration proceeding at the time of filing their statement of claim.
