Roland Wiederaenders is a shareholder in FBFK’s Austin office, where he brings nearly three decades of experience advising businesses through all stages of their lifecycle—from formation and capital raising to strategic growth and operations. His diverse practice spans transactional law, securities, banking and finance, mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, estate planning, and tax.
Roland represents a wide range of clients, including multi-billion-dollar pension and hedge funds, investment managers, real estate investment funds, and companies in the technology, consumer products, and hospitality sectors. He is known for helping clients structure and execute private securities offerings efficiently and compliantly, ensuring full and adequate disclosure to investors to minimize future liability.
With a deep understanding of federal and state securities laws, Roland also advises clients on emerging financing methods, including crowdfunding and online general solicitations in connection with the sale of private securities. His goal is always to enable growth while mitigating risk—an approach that has made him a trusted advisor to entrepreneurs, investment professionals, and established businesses alike.
Roland is admitted to practice in Texas and before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Texas. He earned his J.D., cum laude, from Southern Methodist University School of Law, where he served as Editor-in-Chief of NAFTA: Law and Business Review of the Americasand a staff editor for the International Law Review Association. He later earned his LL.M. in Federal Income Taxation from Georgetown University School of Law. He holds a B.A. in Plan II (Honors Liberal Arts) from The University of Texas at Austin.
