With a passion for strategic problem-solving and over 30 years of experience handling complex commercial litigation, Dana leads our dynamic and skilled litigation team in delivering exceptional legal services across our offices in the Dallas-Ft. Worth Metroplex, Houston, and Austin, Texas, and Orange County, California. As Chair of FBFK’s Litigation Practice Group, Dana emphasizes a growth mindset, collaborative efforts, and innovative strategies to ensure that our clients achieve the best possible outcomes.

Over the years, Dana has served a diverse range of clients, including publicly held companies, private equity portfolio companies, family and small businesses, sole proprietorships, and individuals. Dana has resolved a wide variety of commercial disputes, such as those between creditors and debtors, employers and employees, sellers and consumers, franchisors and franchisees, commercial landlords and tenants, property owners and contractors, and business partners. His work spans all phases of dispute resolution—from pre-suit investigation to alternative dispute resolution (ADR), pre-judgment remedies, trials, appeals, and post-judgment remedies.

Before entering private practice, Dana had the privilege of serving as a Trial Attorney in the Antitrust Division of the United States Department of Justice. As a federal prosecutor, he conducted grand jury investigations across multiple states, which resulted in indictments for violations of Titles 15 and 18, including price fixing, bid rigging, conspiracy, and mail and wire fraud. Dana was also entrusted with evaluating proposed mergers.

Dana’s legal career began as a Law Clerk to the Honorable Earl H. Carroll, United States District Judge for the District of Arizona. This two-year clerkship provided Dana the privilege of participating in more trials than most civil trial lawyers typically experience in a career and a unique perspective on courtroom dynamics.
