DALLAS – Two FBFK attorneys, Kelly Kubasta and John Cone, have been named Best Lawyers in Dallas for Intellectual Property by D Magazine for 2018.
Mr. Kubasta, FBFK’s IP practice group leader, has been selected to D Magazine’s “Best Lawyers” list in Dallas for Intellectual Property four times since 2011. Mr. Kubasta’s extensive litigation experience, advising both plaintiffs and defendants, includes infringement issues involving patents, trademarks/service marks, product trade dress, and copyrights, as well as breach of contract, unfair competition, trade secret, and antitrust issues. Mr. Kubasta earned both his J.D. and B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Texas at Austin.
Mr. Cone was recognized as one of the best Trademark Attorneys in Intellectual Property. Mr. Cone has also been recognized as a “Texas Super Lawyer” by Texas Monthly Magazine numerous times since 2004. With broad experience in Intellectual property in the U.S. and the United Kingdom, Mr. Cone focuses his practice on trademark, copyright and patent enforcement; state and federal intellectual property litigation; and a variety of brand strategy and management issues for a distinguished clientele. Mr. Cone also teaches trademarks and business torts courses to upper-level students at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law. He earned his J.D. from SMU’s Dedman School of Law and both a Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts from Oxford University.
