DALLAS, October 12, 2018 – Three FBFK attorneys, Kelly Kubasta, John Cone, and Richard Spencer, have been selected to the 2018 Texas Super Lawyers list, an honor reserved for those lawyers who exhibit excellence in practice. Only 5% of attorneys in Texas receive this distinction.
Mr. Kubasta, FBFK’s intellectual property practice group leader, has been selected to the Super Lawyers list every year since 2011 (and Rising Stars from 2010 to 2011). Mr. Kubasta’s extensive litigation experience, advising both plaintiffs and defendants, includes infringement issues involving patents, trademarks/service marks, product trade dress, and copyrights, as well as breach of contract, unfair competition, trade secret, and antitrust issues.
With broad experience in Intellectual property in the U.S. and the United Kingdom, Mr. Cone focuses his practice on trademark, copyright and patent enforcement, state and federal intellectual property litigation, and a variety of brand strategy and management issues for a distinguished clientele. Mr. Cone also teaches trademarks and business torts courses to upper-level students at the Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law and has been recognized as a “Texas Super Lawyer” numerous times since 2004.
Mr. Spencer, based in our Houston office, specializes in real estate law. He is board certified in Commercial and Residential Real Estate Law and has represented a wide range of businesses and individuals in a variety of complex real estate matters. Mr. Spencer was also recently named as a Director of the Texas Bar College and has been voted to the Super Lawyers list every year since 2003.
