Before joining FBFK, Scott was a partner at one of the larger law firms in Orange County, and founded McConnell Barwick LLP, recognized by U.S. News & World Report – Best Lawyers as a “Best Law Firm”, earning a Metropolitan Tier 1 rating for Corporate Law each year from 2019 through 2022. That background enables Scott to bring a high level of experience and expertise to bear on the matters that he handles for his clients. At the same time, he offers a level of partner involvement, cost effectiveness and responsiveness not often found in larger law firms.
Scott’s practice areas include all aspects of business and transactional law, including M&A, financing, corporate, venture capital, technology transfer and general business law. Scott also acts as outside general counsel for many of his clients, which range in size from start-ups to companies with $300 million in annual revenue.
