Leighton Aiken is a trial lawyer with more than 40 years of national experience in all aspects of complex commercial/business litigation, with an emphasis on business torts, contract disputes, healthcare (with an emphasis in long-term care) disputes, partnership and shareholder disputes, employer rights, creditor rights in bankruptcy and more. In addition to being a former prosecutor with the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, Leighton has represented clients in federal and state courts throughout the United States, as well as in arbitral proceedings. He has also served as lead counsel in representing clients, including publicly traded companies, in a variety of transactions, including asset sales, equity sales, financing transactions, corporate formations and restructures, credit facilities and joint ventures.
