D CEO Names FBFK’s Todd Shadle to the 2024 Dallas 500
Special edition celebrates the most powerful and influential leaders in North Texas
DALLAS (Dec. 1, 2024) — The editors of D CEO magazine announced that Todd Shadle, Board Certified Labor and Employment Law Attorney and FBFK Shareholder, has been named to the 2024 edition of the Dallas 500, a list honoring the most powerful and influential business leaders in North Texas.
“It is an incredible honor to earn a place on D CEO’s Dallas 500 list and to be among so many of the esteemed Dallas business leaders that I admire,” says Shadle.
Now in its ninth year, the publication is the culmination of nine months of research by the editors of D CEO, the award-winning business title of D Magazine Partners. Those featured in the 2024 edition—including 171 individuals who are new to the list—were celebrated at an exclusive reception held Nov. 16 at the Perot Museum of Nature and Science.

A nearly 30-year attorney board certified in labor and employment law and with extensive experience in commercial litigation, Shadle has been named to The Lawdragon 500: Leading Corporate Employment Lawyers Guide for seven consecutive years, is a three-time Texas Super Lawyer, named among the “Best Lawyers in Dallas” by D Magazine, a four-time honoree by the Best Lawyers in America, and is rated AV Preeminent® by Martindale-Hubbell®.

As co-leader of FBFK’s intellectual property practice group, Kubasta focuses on a wide array of intellectual property, with particular emphasis on patent, trademark, and trade dress litigation and licensing. He has extensive litigation experience, advising both plaintiffs and defendants, in Federal Court – both trial and through appeal – as well as in Texas state court. Kubasta is a nine-time The Best Lawyers in America honoree, recently served as a Board Member of TeXchange DFW, and works with various non-profit organizations.
A three-time “Ones to Watch” honoree and an attorney and shareholder at FBFK, Smiley has more than a decade of bankruptcy and reorganization law experience, with specific expertise in all steps of the Chapter 11 reorganization process, including asset sales, plan confirmation, and post-confirmation plan administration. She also has experience litigating a variety of disputes, including contested matters and adversary proceedings.
